Some of Washington, DC's finest restaurants are now offering awe-inspiring, multi-course meals prepared especially for Restaurant Week.  The Washington, DC Convention & Tourism Corporation and the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington are presenting the 11th Washington, DC Restaurant Week from August 6-12, 2007.  Look for Restaurant Week specials like a 3-course fixed-price lunch special for $20.07 and a 3-course fixed-price dinner special for $30.07.

America's Night Out Against Crime!
Our own Lt. Michael Smith is hosting the "24th Annual National Night Out" (NNO)---a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).  You are cordially invited to be a part of our NIGHT OUT affair.

The National Night Out campaign involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from all over PSA 307.  The primary focus will this year will be burglary prevention.  Commercial alarm contractors will be invited to the event along with the Humane Society to promote dog ownership.

DC Public School Beautification Day!

The annual DC Public School (DCPS) Beautification Day, established in 2005 as the official day for a citywide "spruce up" of all DC public school buildings and front grounds in preparation for school opening, will be held this year on Saturday, August 25, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  This activity, in past years, has been a joint venture of DCPS, parent leaders and community organizations.

Beautification efforts will include landscaping, trash pick-up, light painting, planting flowers, and other external beautification efforts.  Volunteers are needed at all sites.

Development in Our Neighborhood
Two presentations on important and significant real estate developments in our neighborhood will be made at the next Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) Community Development Committee (CDC) meeting on August 22, 2007.
