Arts on Foot - Guided Tours of the Convention Center Art Collection

Come enjoy fun for the entire family on Saturday, September 12, 2008 (rain or shine), between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm, when The Washington Examiner’s Arts on Foot marks its 17th anniversary.  As part of this exciting community event, we invite you to take a tour of the permanent art collection at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Join us for a 45-minute, curator-led tour highlighting our $4 million art collection, one of Washington's largest non-museum art collections -- and the largest of any U.S. convention center.  You will see an array of paintings, sculptures, photography, graphics, and mixed media works created by a carefully selected group of local, national, and international artists.  Don't miss the dramatic 72' Shaw Wall; by local DC artists and celebrates the Walter E.
