About the CDC
Chairperson: Commissioner Kevin Deeley

The Community Development Committee (CDC) is responsible for matters related to development and maintenance of the housing stock, historic preservation, neighborhood improvement and stabilization, commercial development, zoning, public space, traffic management and parking. In particular, the Committee reviews proposed real estate developments and renovations and makes recommendations for action to the full Commission after hearing the views of residents and business owners within the boundaries of ANC 2F.

The CDC serves as the ANC’s forum of first impression for all requests for zoning relief, projects destined for the Historic Preservation Review Board, and applications for use of public space.  As a result, any project with these elements must first pass through the CDC prior to consideration by the full ANC.

The CDC usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, at 7 p.m. at the Washington Plaza Hotel. So as to allow appropriate public notice of the issues before the committee, the agenda for each meeting is set and distributed a week prior through this website and the ANC 2F email list.   Those having business before the committee should contact the CDC Chair and ANC Executive Director to be added to the meeting agenda by 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday preceding the next CDC meeting. All materials that will be used in support of an application must be submitted to the ANC Executive Director by 5:00 p.m. on the Sunday preceding the CDC meeting.

All CDC meetings are open to the public and offer the opportunity for community feedback and comment on projects before the committee.
