COMMUNITY FORUM
The Community Forum portion of the ANC 2F meeting this month will consist of a joint meeting with the LOGAN CIRCLE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, dedicated to the D.C. Public Schools in our area. With the newly created Education Committee of ANC 2F and a similarly proposed one of LCCA, a determined effort is initiated to improve the quality and suitability of our public schools. The objective is to provide first rank educational facilities and staff for the increasing number of families with young children in the area. Dr. Peggy O’Brien, Chief Family and Public Engagement, DCPS will be at this meeting. THE GOAL OF THIS FORUM IS TO HAVE A WIDE RANGING DISCUSSION ON THE NEEDS AND WISHES OF AREA RESIDENTS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS THAT WILL MAKE PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS A VIABLE OPTION FOR AREA PARENTS AND NOT REQUIRE EXPENSIVE PRIVATE SCHOOLING OR RELOCATION TO SUBURBAN SCHOOL SYSTEMS.
