NOTICE: DDOT Sidewalk Work Starting Nov 2nd

14th St, NW (b/t Rhode Island Ave & N St)

As part of the Americans with Disability Act Compliance Program, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be coming to the above mentioned location on about November 2nd, 2015 (weather permitting), to perform repair work and upgrades to the existing sidewalks within your block. This work may include, but not limited to:

  • Upgrading of curb ramps and sidewalks through repair and/or replacement;
  • Correcting drainage issues;
  • Performing repair work at intersections as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Program; and
  • Installation of porous Flexible Paving (Flexi-Pave) in selected areas.

DDOT will work to maintain traffic and access while repairs and updates are done. Due to the nature of work, curbside parking may be restricted during construction hours. “NO PARKING” signs will be posted seventy-two (72) hours prior to the commencement of construction in those areas. All work will be conducted from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Upcoming DDOT Roadwork in ANC 2F

***NOTICE***

DDOT will begin a Roadway Improvement Project along M St, NW between Thomas Circle and 16th St, NW on or about February 19, 2015. The work will take approximately three (3) weeks to complete.

ANC 2F Now Eligible for Visitor Parking Program (VPP)

Today DDOT informed the Commission that residents of ANC 2F may now begin applying for Visitor Parking Passes (VPP). Instructions follow.

VPP Program General Rules:

  1. To obtain a pass, residents must register for the pass either through the Visitor Parking Pass Online System or by contacting the DDOT Call Center (see below);
  2. Only one (1) pass may be issued per household;
  3. Each pass will include a permit number that links the pass to a valid unique address and the registration;
  4. The pass does not provide an exemption from the Registration of Out-of-State Automobiles (ROSA) requirement to register a vehicle in the District of Columbia within 30 days of residency;
  5. Duplication or sale of a VPP is strictly prohibited and violators are subject to a $300 fine (DC Law 16-186);
  6. The 2017 VPP is valid until September 30, 2014. December 31, 2017
  7. Registration for the 2017 VPP is now open (as of October 1, 2016).

How to Apply for a Visitor Parking Pass Online:

  1. Visit https://vpp.ddot.dc.gov/vpp/ 
  2. Enter your address and select “Verify Address.”
  3. Find your address in the list and a map will appear to confirm the location. Please click the address and select “Next.”
  4. Enter your valid contact information. A valid email address for contact purposes is encouraged.
  5. Review Your Information and check the box below to certify that your information is valid. Select “Submit Your Request.”
  6. Next you will receive a registration “Success” note, which will provide a confirmation number that you can use to check the status of your pass processing.

What to Expect:
Please allow 7-10 business for processing from review to delivery of your pass.

Note: The following notice was issued by DDOT on April 10, 2014.

New Traffic Patterns for 900 Block of L Street and 1000 Block of 10th Street NW Start Around April 18, 2014

 
(Washington D.C.) There will be a new traffic pattern implemented on the 900 block of L Street NW and the 1000 block of 10th Street NW starting around April 18, 2014.

L St. NW between 9th St. NW and 10th St. NW

  • The direction of traffic will be changed from a one-way operation to a two-way operation.

10th St. NW between Massachusetts Ave. NW and L St. NW

  • The direction of traffic will be changed from a one-way operation to a two-way operation.

Variable message signs will be in place to guide travelers in the corridor around the new traffic pattern. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.

DDOT Proposals for 12th St & Mass Ave, NW Intersection

At the upcoming ANC 2F regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 7pm at the Washington Plaza Hotel (click here for meeting agenda), the ANC 2F Commissioners will review two District Department of Transportation (DDOT) proposals for improving traffic flow through the troubled intersection at 12th St, NW and Massachusetts Ave, NW. You may review plans of the existing intersection and DDOT’s two proposals below. Please consider attending the meeting if you have questions about the proposals, and more importantly, to provide community feedback to both the Commission and DDOT.

Please note that the below proposals are draft plans. DDOT has indicated there are a few adjustments to be made to each proposal that are not currently reflected in the plans.
