Ron Rubin is a lawyer, MBA, and writer with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Art History. He was born in New York and has lived in New England, the midwest, the west coast, and the south. He spent many years working for state and federal government agencies, including district attorneys’ offices and the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as private businesses and law firms. In 2011, he moved to Washington to help build the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and later worked for the congressional committee that oversees the CFPB and the SEC. He has published several articles in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Weekly Standard, and Bloomberg/BNA.
Ron became an at-large member of ANC 2F’s Community Development Committee shortly after moving to the Thomas Circle neighborhood in 2013, and he was elected ANC 2F05 Commissioner in 2016.
